Holiday Is Great!!! ^^

It has been a while since my last update about my life, or more accurately now is holiday life. In those two months, I have been through few events in my life.

Famine8 Camp and Famine30 Countdown

As mentioned in the previous update, I will be part of the organizing committee for the Famine8 camp in my hometown. As expected, I was not well-dealing with the "young juniors" and "super young juniors". They are definitely not the kind of people that I can handle easily. From long time ago, Cristine is my mentor in leadership, and this time, she again amazed me. She is a natural born leader to let others listen to her without much argument. Without her guidance, this event won't be successful. I think next year, we might continue to organize this event again, but we all definitely more prefer to do it for children age 6-8 only since they are easy to be taken care.

Accidently in this event, I got "new" family members. They are actually one of my old friends -- SoonYik and his sister ShuYan. Because of the close relationship between us, we decided to form a family. Talking about SoonYik, he was one of my basketball partners last time. We used to play basketball very frequent every week and spent time together. That was also one of the precious moments in my secondary school life. Through this event, we finally had the chance to meet each other again after a very long time. Not forget to mention, me and my three sisters were organizing committees while the youngest sister was a participant. So proud of them.

Finally, as organizing committee, I have the chance to attend the Famine30 countdown concert. My main purpose of attending the concert was to watch FanFan Fan Wei Qi. The whole stadium people were cheering for her when she has shown up, the most 'earthquake' effect on that afternoon. I also had the opportunity to watch the whole concert from a close distance just beside the stage, the feeling was awesome! Next time, I want to be volunteer at the concert so that I have chance to meet those artists face to face. At last thanks to Suzy for fetching us to the stadium =)

"Quan Bian 14" Melacca Bonding Trip

Unplanned, I joined the QB14 trip to Melacca. I finally decided to join the team. Actually, I was interested to join Quan Bian long ago during Year 1, maybe because of XueJian too. But thanks to JiaYing, if not because of her, I think most probably I won't join the team alone. This time, I still chose to enter Marketing Department. Also, because I did not dare to join other departments where I have to rebuild the chemistry with my partners. The decision to join this trip was quite sudden too as I told JiaYing once my mom said I no need to exchange Singapore Dollars for coming trip, she had some left. So, I had the budget to join the trip. Jih Xian was the only one I knew before the trip other than JiaYing. Luckily, he was in the car fetching me from my hometown to Melacca. If not, I could not "warm up" so fast.

The trip was quite relaxing. No rushing schedule, no early morning call, and most importantly no traffic jam. Bonding during the trip was expected as named. Although some of us knew each other right during the trip, we still have laughters along the trip, thanks to the funny guys. We also managed to come out with a few suggestions for our event after several "meeting". For first timers like me, we can understand more about the event from its history until current status. We started to know how our event "Big Boss" want us to work as a team, not only working hard, but also playing hard. Not only him, but all of us actually spoken through our hearts, on how we hope this event can be carried out and our expectation toward it. Even though with only seven people attended, this trip was definitely a very good start for our preparation for Quan Bian 14 after this.

Muar + Singapore "Haha Girls" Birthday Trip

Certainly coming next was, I have been to Singapore with my lovely 'Haha Girls', without the presence of our dear Christina. Day before reaching Singapore, we first had our food trip in Muar thanks to JiaYing and MeiTing, the two Muar-ians. We tried the 'Otak Char Kuay Teow', 'Spicy Pan Mee', 'Ice Kacang', 'Tomyam Fish Head' and a lot more. Not to forget, a very nice gift-giving session at the Popchuco Art Gallery Cafe, great theme-cafe with peaceful surroundings. After a tiring karaoke singing slot, we have our very last meal before sleep, the King of Fruit -- Durian! I bet this was the very first time for all of us to eat durians at the midnight. Well, this also sent us into a sweet dream that night.

Early in the next morning, we went to eat dim sum before departed to meet ShyJia and straight to Singapore. Thanks to JiaYing and her aunt, we got the chance to stay at one of the most expensive hotels in Singapore, the Marina Bay Hotel. I never thought of staying there as an ordinary student, moreover was two nights there with different view rooms, the sea-view and the city-view. We also went up to the skypark swimming pool, that I watched on TV show before, dreamed to be there, and I was really there! Enjoying the 57-floor view while soaking myself in the swimming pool, and tried Jacuzzi. The life in the hotel is designed for the rich, and we had the chance to enjoy there, again, thanks to JiaYing and her aunt.

Besides, we also went to the Garden by the Bay and walking high in the sky. The nations were rehearsalling for their coming Independent Day, and we had the opportunity to see in nearer distant than ever, and feel the excitement and the importance of this event in Singapore! At night, the water show amazed us accompanied by fireworks all day long. But the day didn't end yet, we still went to Clark Quay as planned, where WeiSze fulfilled her dream there. After that, was another birthday celebration with cake for four of us. First time celebrated  birthday in a foreign country, with lovely friends, had made us touched deep in our heart. With tears still rolling in our eyes, we received one more surprise from them, the birthday cards -- all handmade! Oh my friends, I love you girls so much, thank you for all what you have done for us! Another sweet dream night =)

The next day would definitely be the most excited day for us, to visit the must-go-destination in Singapore -- Universal Studio! We had a very great day there, watched almost all the shows and played the games. Only little repentance, the most challenging game was in maintenance. But we did enjoy our time there, with no time wasted. Little travelling around Sentosa before we went back to hotel again and had a short 'lying plus truth or dare' game session. Lastly before all went to bed, we had a "pillow talk" session which more like a funny talk show. Finally, came to the last day in Singapore, all of us tried to complete each other's incomplete mission. Some went to sauna and steam room, some went to the 57-floor deck to have an overview of Singapore up high in the sky, some jumped into the swimming pool and some first time went to breakfast in the casino. After the last group photo session, all of us went back to each other's hometown and hoping to see each other again soon.

Our bond was strengthened in this trip. We appreciate each other more. This relationship is very valuable to each one of us. I just wish that we won't forget each other and keep in touch with each other in the future even after merging into working life.

Pulau Pangkor + Setiawan + Sekinchan "Family" Trip

For this trip, the initial plan was to go visit "Tua Pek Gong" in Setiawan, a one day trip only for my family. But don't know how, decided days before the trip, we were going to visit Pulau Pangkor and Setiawan with few families along for two days one night trip. We woke up very early and departed to Jenjarom for our breakfast as early as 4.30am. I served as a back-up driver for my "new-driver" cousin. Luckily, I did not need to drive for long journeys. The whole journey was quite smooth. We firstly visited Pulau Pangkor and travel around the island by Taxi-Van. After lunch, a few of us had the chance to try the banana boat for the first time. After Pulau Pangkor, we checked-in to the hotel and cleaned ourselves. Planned to have a nice dinner at a restaurant recommended by many people, however, ended up filling our hunger at an "alcoholic" seafood restaurant.

Second day, after visited Setiawan "Tua Pek Gong", we proceeded to the next destination -- Sekinchan. This time, I finally came to the beach side and took photos with my family members at the signature signboard of "I Love Sekinchan". Besides, I also got the chance to play kite for a while before the kite's string loosen from the holder and the whole kite blown away by wind. Next, our plan to have a nice seafood dinner was ruined by traffic jam along the way to Kuala Selangor followed by fireflies "brief" watching. Finally, we had to split up and back to own hometowns for dinner, or more accurately supper. Reached at midnight, we had no choice but to go to mamak stall to settle our hunger.

Birthday Celebrations

Other than trips, I had also celebrated my friends' birthday. They are BeeLing and YunJun. Of course, both of them are my best friends since secondary school. BeeLing is still the same, stubborn and full with negativity. But luckily, she met her current boyfriend, Kent. We feel glad for her to meet him, a very nice guy and economically strong. He takes care of BeeLing like a princess and we can feel how they care about each other. Hope they can be together happily until the end. While YunJun, all my close friends in hometown know he is one of the guys I liked before this. He was also the one that had a very special relationship with me. But now, he is just my "brother" and having a happy relationship with his girlfriend, which just celebrated their 3rd year anniversary recently. He will remain special in my heart and I wish all the best to him.

I have less than one month left for my holiday. I will definitely use this holiday to accompany my family and hometown friends more. Continue to enjoy my holiday... =)
